Blue Ridge Rock Festival: The lineup so far (May 9)

The Blue Ridge Rock Festival has announced Slipknot and Disturbed as two of its four night-closing headliners. According to social media posts, Slipknot has received more requests from fans than any other band in the festival’s history and was described as the biggest band the festival has ever booked.

Unlike most other festivals, Blue Ridge, set for Sept. 8 to 11 at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia, is releasing its 2022 lineup one act a time.

One hundred fifty-three of a reported 178 acts have been announced as of May 9.

On social media, festival organizers have said there will be 12 reunions, nine “special performances,” two debuts, two farewells and, for VIP ticket-holders, 12 acoustic sets.
