Cane Hill signs to Out of Line, new single ‘A Form of Protest’ coming May 19

New Orleans band Cane Hill has signed to Out of Line, an independent record label based in Germany, and will release its next single, “A Form of Protest,” on May 19, 2022.

Singer Elijah Witt said the new song will be the first release of a new era for the band.

“It marks the transition between what we’ve been to what we will become,” he said. “Poised in rage and frustration caused by ‘the powers that be,’ this song welcomes you into our relentless and uncompromising future.”

Discussing the band’s new label, Witt said: “We’re excited to be partnered with Out of Line for our future releases. After releasing music independently with great success during the pandemic, finding a team that’s as excited about Cane Hill as the band is should help open some new doors for us to release our art creatively.”

Previously signed to Rise Records, Cane Hill independently released the “Krewe De La Mort” and “Krewe D’Amour” EPs throughout the past two years. Its most recent release was the song “Drag Me Down” from “Krewe D’Amour.”

Cane Hill will embark on “The Krewe Du Sang Tour,” with openers Afterlife, VCTMS and Moodring, later this month. The tour will kick off on May 27, 2022, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and wrap June 20 in Nashville, Tennessee.
