Avatar has emerged from deep within the Swedish forest in which it has been working on its ninth album to drop a lyric video for the new song “Valley of Disease.” Watch it below.
“There is a sickness, a stranger and a harmful way,” vocalist Johannes Eckerström said. “A twisted landscape untouched by the sun. I leave the rest up to either you or me, but never both at the same time. You can only enter this place alone, and my path isn’t yours. Your secret is safe with me, but so is mine.”
Avatar enjoyed a productive summer, traipsing North America on a successful headline tour, supporting Iron Maiden in stadiums in Brazil. Avatar also played arenas supporting Sabaton and secured slots at major festivals, including Inkcarceration, Cadott Fest, Summer Breeze and Bloodstock.
Avatar has added Veil of Maya in the U.K. and Europe in February and March 2023 on the “Dance Devil Dance Tour.” All dates are in the graphic below.
