Indian metal band Bloodywood announces U.S. headline tour with Vended, Wargasm

Bloodywood, the Indian metal band that plays a blend of heavy music and traditional Indian folk music, will hit the road in May on its Rakshak USA Tour, featuring support from Vended and Wargasm.

The run will kick off on May 2, 2023, in Seattle, Washington, and make its way across the United States, ending on May 25 at the Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio.

“We are thrilled to be back playing for our fans in the United States,” Bloodywood vocalist Jayant Bhadula said. “This tour is going to be a celebration of heavy metal, Indian culture, and the power of music to bring people together.”

The tour will feature songs from the band’s 2022 debut album, “Rakshak.”

Vended, based in Des Moines, Iowa, features vocalist Griffin Taylor and drummer Simon Crahan (the sons of Slipknot members Corey Taylor and M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan), and has been making waves with its live performances and debut EP, “What Is It//Kill It,” released in 2021.

Wargasm, the London-based duo featuring Milkie Way and Sam Matlock, has been garnering acclaim for its mix of punk and metal.

“We can’t wait to share the stage with Vended and Wargasm,” Bloodywood guitarist Karan Katiyar said. “Both bands are incredibly talented and we know that they are going to bring a ton of energy to every show.”
