The Dead Daisies to release blues album ‘Lookin’ for Trouble’ on May 30

The Dead Daisies will release a blues album titled “Lookin’ for Trouble” on May 30, 2025, via Fame Records. Find pre-order links here. The first single, a cover of Robert Johnson’s “Crossroads,” is available for streaming, and a music video can be seen below.

The band recorded “Lookin’ for Trouble” during the same sessions that yielded “Light ‘Em Up,” its latest album, released in September 2024.

“Back in March 2024,” singer John Corabi said, “we were inspired by the Fame Studios vibe, lush acoustics and unique musical legacy with so many legends recording their first hits in these hallowed studios back in the early 60’s. We started jamming our favourite blues songs at night after the rock sessions, Marti hit record and we decided to do an album with some of these standout jams. After all the Muscle Shoals style fused Blues, Gospel, Country and was the birth place of Rock.

“The Blues had many names back in the day and they all had unwarranted negative connotations. But considering the influence the blues have had on EVERY genre of music we listen to, with the exception of classical, I would refer to it as ‘The Soul’ of music today!!!”
