Heavy metal supergroup Category 7 will make its live debut Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Whiskey a Go-Go in Los Angeles, California. As reported by Metal Injection, Evildead has been confirmed as support, with more bands to be announced.
Category 7, which released its self-titled debut album in July 2024 via Metal Blade Records, consists of John Bush (Armored Saint, Anthrax), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob, Sonic Universe, Noturnall), Phil Demmel (Machine Head, Kerry King, Vio-Lence), Jack Gibson (Exodus) and Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, Overkill).
Following the Los Angeles show, the band will head to South America for a string of performances in July. All of the shows will be filmed, the band said on social media. A U.S. tour originally set for March was canceled late last year.
Tickets and VIP meet-and-greet packages for Los Angeles will on sale here at 10 a.m. PT Friday, April 18.
“The stars have aligned and the initial C7 storm is about to hit Hollywood!” Demmel told Metal Injection. “To say we’ve been ready to get this rolling is an understatement. So, batten down those hatches, because Category 7 is coming to lay waste!!”
