Solo black metal project Blackbraid has unveiled “The Dying Breath of a Sacred Stag,” the second single and video from its upcoming album “Blackbraid III.” The new record will released independently on Aug. 8, 2025; pre-order it record here, and pre-save it here.
Blackbraid also will embark on a North American headline tour later in 2025 with support from Lamp of Murmuur and Dödsrit, with Gudsforladt replacing Lamp of Murmuur as support for two Canadian dates. The trek will kick off Sept. 19 in San Diego, California, and will make its way around the United States and Canada until the final stop on Oct. 11 in Los Angeles, California. In addition, Blackbraid has partnered with Fire in the Mountains Festival to curate a special pre-release event where festival attendees will get to hear the new record ahead of its release. Fire in the Mountains will take place July 25 to 27 at the Red Eagle Campground on the Blackfeet Nation Reserve in Montana. Other confirmed artists include Wardruna, Old Man’s Child and Blood Incantation with additional bands to be announced.
