Misery Index shares ‘Feral Future,’ first new music in four years

Veteran Baltimore, Maryland, death metal band Misery Index has shared “Feral Future,” its first new music in four years. Watch the lyric video below.

“‘Feral Future’ is about changing the way we think about our relationship with nature,” bassist/vocalist Jason Netherton said. “Nature isn’t something we rule over or exist outside of. It’s something we are immersed in everywhere all the time. This song champions the rewilding of damaged and corrupted human spaces and reclaims a more feral connection that respects the sublime wonder of nature.”

Misery Index, which features current and former members of Dying Fetus and Pig Destroyer, started 2026 strong by re-signing to Season of Mist and now is preparing to embark on a headline tour of Europe and the United Kingdom.
