On Saturday, April 7, rising stars Cane Hill performed at NXT Take Over: New Orleans, as part of WWE’s WrestleMania Weekend. The band opened NXT TakeOver with “It Follows,” one of the event’s official theme songs, inside the sold-out Smoothie King Center in its hometown of New Orleans.
The band also performed with Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale, playing NXT Superstar Ember Moon’s entrance theme “Free the Flame” before her championship match. Watch both performances below, along with the band’s WWE interview.
“Opening NXT TakeOver and doing an entrance theme with Lzzy Hale was downright the coolest experience we’ve ever had,” said Cane Hill singer Elijah Witt. “It’s amazing seeing NXT and underground metal joining together to make both worlds bigger than ever and we’re just honored to have been a part of it.”
Last month, it was announced that Cane Hill was selected as #NXTLOUD artist and its singles “Lord of Flies” and “It Follows” would serve as the official theme songs for NXT Takeover: New Orleans.
Both tracks appear on the band’s second album, “Too Far Gone,” out now via Rise Records.
The band will embark on another tour this spring, supporting Nonpoint and Butcher Babies. The band also will make its first appearance at Rock on the Range and Northern Invasion. All Cane Hill tour dates are below.
