After sitting out this year, the Chicago Open Air festival will return on Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, presenting a stadium show with headlining sets from chart-topping acts including System of a Down, Tool, The Prodigy and Ghost. Produced by Danny Wimmer Presents with Live Nation, it will take place at SeatGeek Stadium (formerly Toyota Park) in Bridgeview, Illinois, just outside Chicago.
Tickets will go on sale at noon CT Friday, Dec. 14, at www.ChicagoOpenAir.com.
The daily band lineup is as follows:
Saturday, May 18: System of a Down, Ghost, Meshuggah, Beartooth, Code Orange, Knocked Loose, Vein
Sunday, May 19: Tool, The Prodigy, Gojira, In This Moment, Fever 333, The Black Dahlia Murder, Alien Weaponry
Doors will open at 2 p.m. each day.

Tool, The Prodigy and System Of A Down, that’s insane and such a powerful lineup. We feel blessed to be a part of it all. In addition to enjoying two days of nonstop rock, attendees will be able to indulge in an array of food and beverage options. A variety of local and regional craft beers and delicious Chicago-centric cuisine will be available throughout the venue over the course of the weekend.

All VIP tickets include: Premium viewing area on the field or a premium reserved seat in the bowl level of the stadium, access to a dedicated VIP entrance into the stadium, access to a VIP hang area featuring dedicated food and beverage offerings, access to VIP-only restroom facilities and a commemorative VIP laminate.
