Skid Row signs with earMUSIC

Skid Row has signed a worldwide recording contract with earMUSIC and has started working on a new studio album with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Halestorm, Evanescence, Velvet Revolver, Alice in Chains).

“We are extremely excited to have signed with earMUSIC,” the band said. “Not only do we have an incredible team to work with, but we are labelmates with iconic artists like Deep Purple and Alice Cooper. To say we are psyched is an understatement.”

The new album will be Skid Row’s first with former DragonForce singer ZP Theart, who joined the band in 2016, replacing Tony Harnell, who briefly stepped in for Johnny Solinger. Solinger had fronted the band from 1999 to 2015. Skid Row enjoyed its greatest success with singer Sebastian Bach, who was onboard from 1987 to 1996. The band scored multiple top 10 singles, and its second album, “Slave to the Grind,” debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard charts.

General Manager earMUSIC Max Vaccaro said: “We have been given the chance to listen to many songs in pre-production stage and we were completely impressed by the energy and the songwriting quality. Skid Row have reached great levels of success in the ’80s and the ’90s, but we are sure that they have all they need today to open a new chapter in their career and return to be one of the leading names in the hard rock world.”

Skid Row also recently joined the talent division at Primary Wave Music as a management client. Eric Baker, a partner in Primary Wave’s music management division and based in the company’s West Coast office, will handle day-to-day responsibilities for the band.
