Spiritbox parts ways with bassist Bill Crook

Spiritbox has parted ways with bassist Bill Crook, according to a statement the band released to social media on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

“We are saddened to announce that Bill Crook will no longer be in Spiritbox,” the band said. “This decision was mutual and with no hard feelings. We ask that you respect his privacy on the matter and we wish him nothing but the best in the future. We would like to thank Josh Gilbert for giving us his time on such short notice to fill in with us.”

Gilbert’s previously played bass for As I Lay Dying from 2006 to 2014 and again from 2018 until his departure was announced about a week earlier.

Spiritbox—which features singer Courtney LaPlante, guitarist Mike Stringer and drummer Zev Rose—is touring in support of its debut full-length, “Eternal Blue,” released in September 2021. The band will support Ghost on a North American tour later this year. All dates are below.
