Organizers of the Blue Ridge Rock Festival, set for Sept. 8 to 11, 2022, at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia, hope to release the event’s full lineup early next week. As of Wednesday, June 1, 173 of a reported 186 artists and special guests have been announced.
According to a social media post from the festival on Tuesday, May 31, Like Moths to Flames had to cancel its appearance due to a “tremendous tour offer the band has received.” In addition, Fear Factory has canceled its appearance due to international travel complications with a key band member that has forced them to be unable to deliver their first performance since 2016.”
Headliners announced for the festival so far include Slipknot, Disturbed and Ghost. According to the lineup page on the festival’s website, three of the event’s top six acts, including the one set to receive top billing, have not been announced.
