Knotfest to bring Pantera to South America in December 2022

Knotfest, the destination festival brand curated by Slipknot, will continue its expanding global domination with Knotfest Colombia 2022, which will take place Friday, Dec. 9, at Campin Circuit of Bogotá. Headlined by Judas Priest and the recently reformed Pantera (featuring Zakk Wylde on guitar and Anthrax’s Charlie Benante on drums in addition to vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown), Knotfest Colombia’s first wave of bands announced also features Bring Me the Horizon, Trivium, Hypocrisy, Sepultura, Suicide Silence and Sold with more to be announced. Tickets will go on sale here at 9 a.m. local time Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Knotfest also will expand into Argentina for the first time with two Knotfest Roadshow events. The first will be headlined by Slipknot on Dec. 8, and the second will be headlined by Judas Priest on Dec. 13. Both shows will take place at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, with more acts to be announced soon.  Tickets go on sale at noon local time Wednesday, Aug. 24, with a special pre-sale twin bundle of a ticket for both shows available. Full information and ticket options can be found here.

In addition, Judas Priest and Pantera have been added to the lineups for Knotfest Chile (Dec. 11, Estadio Monumental in Santiago) and Knotfest Brasil (Dec. 18, Sambódromo do Anhembi in São Paulo). They will join previously announced headliners Slipknot, plus Bring Me the Horizon, Mr. Bungle, Trivium, Sepultura, Motionless in White, Vended and Project 46. The new incarnation of Pantera was announced earlier this year. Wylde and Benante will replace brothers Dimebag Darrell, who died in 2004, and Vinnie Paul, who passed away in 2018, respectively. The new lineup reportedly has been given the blessing of the brothers’ estates and will headline major festivals in 2023.
