John 5 has shared a playthrough video of his new single “Strung Out.”
“This song is called ‘Strung Out’ because I am so obsessed with playing guitar that when I don’t play and create new music for a while, I start to go a little insane,’ he said.
“There’ll be more Creatures shows sometime in the near future, and I really look forward to playing this song live,” he added.
“Strung Out” features John 5 on guitar and bass, and Alex Mercado on drums. It was engineered, recorded and mixed by Barry Pointer.
In October 2022, it was announced that John 5 was joining Mötley Crüe as its guitarist following the announcement of Mick Mars’ retirement from touring. John 5 will be seen in 2023 with Mötley Crüe on “The World Tour” with Def Leppard, which will kick off with Latin American dates in February before moving on to Europe in the summer.
“I’m honored to carry on Mick’s legacy and am looking forward to playing these songs,” John 5 said.
