Sevendust has shared another piece of music from its upcoming 14th studio album, “Truth Killer” (July 28, 2023, Napalm Records). “Superficial Drug” is an introspective rocker that showcases the band’s approach to melody. The band—Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, John Connolly, Vince Hornsby and Morgan Rose—reunited with director J.T. Ibanez (P.O.D., Loveless, Orianthi) for the third time to create visuals to support “Truth Killer.” The video features the band performing as cloaked figures representing “superficial drugs” try to overtake the band. Watch it below.
“Truth Killer,” the follow-up to the 2020 release “Blood & Stone,” sees Michael “Elvis” Baskette returning as producer and features the band’s original, longtime lineup. The new album is available for pre-order in multiple configurations here.
