Local brewery releasing New England Metal & Hardcore Festival-inspired beer

Tin Bridge Brewing is releasing a special beer inspired by the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, which is returning in 2023 after a five-year break.

“Tin Bridge Brewing is extremely excited to be partnering again with Mr. Scott Lee and the New England Metal & Hardcore fest this year,” said owner (and Within the Ruins guitarist) Joe Cocchi. “We are huge fans, and have attended the festival for years. Now, we get to bring to you all an exclusive NEMHF ‘New England IPA’ to celebrate the return of this legendary festival. Pick up some cans from our taproom at the pre-release ‘Metal Monday’ party on Sept. 11 or see you at the show.”

Launched in 1999 at the famed Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts, the festival often was held over two or three days, with multiple stages and top-tier acts such as Megadeth, Manowar, DragonForce, Opeth, Between the Buried & Me, Meshuggah, Killswitch Engage, Suicidal Tendencies and Anthrax appearing through the years.

In 2023, the event is returning as a two-day extravaganza on Sept.r 15 and 16. Parkway Drive and Lamb of God will serve as headliners, with bands gracing three stages—two outside stages and the main room. VIP tickets are available here.

E-Town Concrete and Swollen Teeth recently were added to the lineup.

In addition to the bands, there will be a museum and gallery celebrating the event’s history and spotlighting the contributions of Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D’Antonio, who served as the event’s graphic designer from 2001 through 2012, as well as the work of photographer Jeremy Saffer, who is the event’s official shooter.
