Dark Chapel, led by guitarist/singer/producer/longtime member of Black Label Society Dario Lorina, has released “Corpse Flower,” the third single from its debut album, “Spirit in the Glass,” out Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, via MNRK Heavy. The new song is available from all digital outlets, and a video can be seen below. Pre-order/pre-save the album here.
“When I was writing the lyrics for ‘Corpse Flower,’” Lorina said, “I was envisioning an imagery, very similar to the artwork that became the single art, of an ominous field of mostly dead flowers with one living and towering over as almost a beacon of or a portal to the underworld, representing immortality.”
Lorina continued: “I put my heart and soul into Dark Chape’s debut, ‘Spirit in the Glass,’ as did all involved in the making of it. There’s a lot on this album from my roots of guitar-driven heavy rock to intimate piano and acoustic, singer/songwriter style songs. I’m elated for listeners to hear it in full.”

To celebrate the release of the album, Dark Chapel will play a special show in Lorina’s current hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 1 at Count’s Vamp’d Rock Bar & Grill, with very special guest comedian Don Jamieson (former host of VH1 Classic’s “That Metal Show”). Tickets are available here.
The album’s first single, “Glass Heart,” was released in September 2024, and a video for the song can be seen on the band’s official YouTube page. “Hollow Smile,” the album’s second single, was released Jan. 17, and the video, directed by Justin H. Reich (Black Label Society, Ace Frehley, Rex Brown), also can be seen on the band’s official YouTube page.
Lorina began his professional career in 2006 when he was 16 as the touring guitarist with the late Jani Lane (ex-Warrant). At 19, he joined veteran metal act Lizzy Borden, with whom he toured for four years. He released two instrumental records with Mike Varney on Shrapnel Records in 2013 and 2017 titled “Dario Lorina” and “Death Grip Tribulations.” On Jan. 1, 2014, he joined Black Label Society, and he has touring worldwide alongside Zakk Wylde, performing on guitar, piano and backing vocals ever since. Lorina dueled solos with Wylde on Black Label Society’s 2022 album “Doom Crew Inc.,” and he joined Zakk on the January 2022 cover of Guitar World magazine.
