Teen metal band Chained Saint to open for Alice in Chains, appear at festivals

Teen metal band Chained Saint—featuring high school students Ethan Kahn (17, guitar), Sebastian De Avila (18, bass), Cameron Cottrell (19, drums) and Sean Sterling (18, vocals)—will serve as direct support for Alice in Chains on select spring 2025 tour dates.

The band also will appear at several festivals through 2025, including Welcome to Rockville, Rocklahoma, Louder Than Life and VansWarped Tour.

Chained Saint was one of the most hotly tipped bands of 2024. In just a few months, RevolverGuitar WorldLoudwire and Judas Priest legend Rob Halford praised the band for its chops. SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal added the band to its playlist, and its debut single “Animosity” served as the theme song for the WWE 2K24 DLC 4 trailer in September.

“Nothing is more exciting to us than playing live in front of a crowd,” the band said. “We thrive on getting people moving and to us that’s how we measure our live shows. We’re extremely grateful for the love we’ve received over the past six months since our debut album dropped and we can’t wait to get on the road and bring that raw energy to the masses and metal fans.”

Born in a South Florida garage in summer 2022, Chained Saint’s recently released debut album, “Blindside” (out via independent label Patriark Records) combines the raw riffery of old-school ’80s thrash metal with a dash of modern-day brutality. The album was produced by William DuVall of Alice In Chains.
