The Union Underground and Spineshank are teaming up for a 2025 tour marking 25 years of their hit albums “… An Education in Rebellion” (The Union Underground) and “The Height of Callousness” (Spineshank). Tickets for the first leg of shows, also featuring Adema and Sicksense, will go on sale Friday, March 7.
Both Spineshank and The Union Underground will perform their albums in full, along with a few extra surprises. The tour’s first leg kicks off July 10 in Austin, Texas, and ends Aug. 1 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“Wow, 25 years! When first putting this album together, I had no idea it would stand the test of time as it has,” The Union Underground’s Bryan Scott said. “While you’re in the weeds creating, it’s impossible to gauge what will ultimately resonate with people, and I guess the people have spoken. Twenty-fice years of continued support from Union Underground fans is beyond inspiring, and I’m very pleased to share this milestone with our friends in Spineshank as they celebrate theirs.”
The Union Underground originally disbanded in 2002 but has been active since 2016, with touring picking up in the past couple years.
Spineshank announced its reunion in January 2025 with a revamped lineup featuring original members Jonny Santos, Rob Garcia and Tommy Decker, along with Tommy Decker Jr. (guitar) and Jason Hager (ex-Chimaira, guitar).
“We are beyond excited to be able to celebrate 25 years of ‘The Height of Callousness,'” Tommy Decker said. “This is the record that defined us as a band and changed our lives. We can’t wait to play all of these songs and share the memories with all of you who lived it with us.”
Santos said: “We are extremely excited to celebrate the return of Spineshank for the 25th anniversary of ‘The Height of Callousness’ tour, and get to share this milestone with the people who were there back then, and the new fans that never got the chance to see us play. Truly an honor!!! “
