Los Angeles-based cinematic hard rock act Edge of Paradise will release its sixth studio album and Napalm Records debut, “Prophecy,” this Friday, March 7, 2025, and now has unveiled the record’s fourth single, “Give It to Me (Mind Assassin),” featuring Ben V. of industrial goth outfit Ludovico Technique. Pre-order the album here.
“This high-energy, explosive track embodies the ultimate showdown between the human mind and artificial intelligence,” frontwoman Margarita Monet said. “An intense battle for the soul, where the fight against digital manipulation becomes a quest for true connection and self-discovery amid the chaos of an increasingly controlled existence.
“We’re heading towards a world where we could intertwine with artificial intelligence, redefine reality and possibly unlock limitless potential for ourselves—but what would be the price to pay?”
On the album, Edge of Paradise rages against the existential crisis of what is known commonly as “The Singularity,” the prophesized moment in time in which humanity loses control of artificial intelligence, leading to potentially cataclysmic shifts to life as we know it. Band mastermind and frontwoman Margarita Monet combats this grim prediction with her vulnerable, self-effacing lyricism and artwork featured on the cover and accompanying earbook. “Prophecy” was co-produced with Mike Plotnikoff (Nita Strauss, Apocalyptica, Daughtry, Three Days Grace), mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Arch Enemy, Katatonia, Delain, Evergrey) and incorporates eight-string guitars for the first time.
