A new chapter in Baltimore’s music history will begin summer in 2025 with the grand opening of Nevermore Hall, a new venue taking over the space formerly known as Rams Head Live. The venue, nestled in the heart of Power Plant Live!, will honor the spirit of its predecessors while ushering in a bold future for the city’s live music scene.
With its name nodding to Baltimore’s most famous literary son, Edgar Allan Poe, Nevermore Hall feature new, state-of-the-art production capabilities, reimagined interiors and a renewed commitment to hosting the best in live entertainment.
The venue is being brought to life by the local ownership group behind Baltimore Soundstage, a family-owned local business with over 20 years invested in the Baltimore music and nightlife scenes.
Before its transformation, the large multi-floor space was home to Rams Head Live!, a venue that for two decades brought performances to Baltimore with legends such as James Brown, Wu Tang Clan, The B-52’s, Public Enemy, The Beastie Boys, Billy Idol, Earth Wind & Fire, The Smashing Pumpkins, Kenderick Lamar and thousands more all gracing the venue’s stage.
“Nevermore Hall is our love letter to the legacy of this space and to Baltimore itself,” venue reps Mike O’Brien and Dave Adams Jr of Nevermore Hall said. “We’re carrying the torch forward by blending the soul of Rams Head Live! with a fresh vision that puts artists, fans, and the community first. This isn’t just a new venue—it’s a rebirth.”
The revitalized space will feature multiple bars, expanded VIP areas and Nevermore Hall-themed décor that blends gothic elegance with modern edge—an aesthetic homage to the venue’s namesake and Baltimore’s rich artistic legacy. From custom artwork to atmospheric lighting, every detail has been designed to create an unforgettable experience the moment fans walk through the doors. With upcoming bookings and private rentals already in the works, Nevermore Hall is preparing to open its doors with a lineup that reflects the venue’s commitment to musical diversity and the City of Baltimore.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Nevermore Hall to Baltimore’s vibrant live music scene and expand our longtime partnership with Baltimore Soundstage by coming on as the booking partner for this reimagined venue,” Kelly Flanigan, regional president for Live Nation, said.
For over 25 years, Power Plant Live! has welcomed tens of millions of guests to a variety of food and beverage, entertainment, live music and special event experiences. “Nevermore Hall’s opening at Power Plant Live! is incredibly exciting for the district and all of Baltimore,” said Anthony Matteo, director of operations of Power Plant Live!, said. “As a premier destination for music and entertainment for over 25 years, Power Plant Live! has long been a hub for unforgettable experiences and the best in local, regional and national performances.
