Theatrical metal band Raven Black has shared “Death Waltz,” the third single from its upcoming new album “Black Sonata,” due Sept. 12, 2025. Watch the music video for the new song below, and preorder the album here.
Driven by heavy guitar riffs, orchestral layers and Raven’s vocals that shift from operatic into guttural growls, “Death Waltz” invites listeners into a fever dream where nightmares pirouette in time to a sinister rhythm. It’s a track that blurs the line between performance and possession.
“Black Sonata” is available for preorder in various bundles that include plush dolls, T-shirts and more.
“This album is so special,” singer Raven said. “With my husband, Ryan ‘Muppet’ Cox, and friend, Maezi Kacey, and working with Ulrich Wild, at WURMgroup, this has become our best work since we started in 2011.”
Raven Black, originally founded in Los Angeles, California, describes itself as a “Dark Metal Carnival.” The band has released three albums since 2016 and toured rigorously since, supporting acts such as Cradle of Filth, DevilDriver, Jinjer, Mushroomhead and Static-X.
