Dream Theater shares ‘Bend the Clock’ video, ‘Evening with …’ U.S. tour kicking off this week

With its next U.S. tour kicking off this week, progressive metal band Dream Theater has released a music video for “Bend the Clock” from its 16th studio album, “Parasomnia,” released earlier in 2025.

The new album showcases the band’s iconic lineup of James LaBrie (vocals), John Petrucci (guitar), John Myung (bass), Jordan Rudess (keyboards) and Mike Portnoy (drums). Portnoy rejoined the band in 2023, 13 years after he left.

Dream Theater is set to return to the road this week, continuing its An Evening With Dream Theater run that will celebrate “Parasomnia.” The band will perform album in its entirety, along with the entire seven-movement, 23-minute song “A Change of Seasons” for the first time since Portnoy’s return. The set list also will include other classics and fan favorites from its catalog. The tour is scheduled for 30 cities across the United States and kicks off Sept. 5 in Reading, Pennsylvania, and runs through Oct. 25 when it will wrap in Long Island, New York. More information on all tickets and VIP packages can be found at https://dreamtheater.net/tour/.

An album that was 15 years in the making, Dream Theater released “Parasomnia” on Feb. 7, 2025, via its longtime label home, Inside Out Music/Sony Music. Clocking in at 71 minutes, “Parasomnia” debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums, the Hard Music Albums and Current Rock Albums chart, selling over 18,000 combined units the first week. It also debuted at number 41 on the Billboard 200, which is notable for a progressive metal band and shows the band’s devout fanbase. It is Dream Theater’s first album with drummer/founding member Mike Portnoy since 2009’s “Black Clouds & Silver Linings.” It was produced by guitarist John Petrucci, engineered by James “Jimmy T” Meslin and mixed by Andy Sneap. Hugh Syme returned once again to create the cover art. More information can be found at www.dreamtheater.net.
