Long-running Christian metal band Stryper has shared the new single “On This Holy Night” from its upcoming Christmas album, “The Greatest Gift of All” (Nov. 21, 2025, Frontiers Music Srl; pre-order here).
“We wanted to release a song that is dark and heavy yet describes how the world has taken ‘Jesus’ out of Christmas,” the band said. “What better way (or day) to release a song like this? Halloween! This song exemplifies everything that we are as a band, lyrically and musically.ā
āThe Greatest Gift of Allā will be available exclusively in physical formats.
āThe Greatest Gift of Allā track listing:

2. Go Tell It on the Mountain
3. Heaven Came (On Christmas Day)

āWe have wanted to record a Christmas album for many years,ā vocalist/guitarist Michael Sweet said. āEver since we released our first single (āReason for the Seasonā) back in 1985, the fans have been asking for a full length Christmas album. Well, the time has finally come. We wanted to make an album of five traditional songs and five original songs. To put our own spin on our own Christmas album and not follow the pack so to speak. We could not be more pleased with how it turned out! We obviously re-recorded āReason for the Seasonā and āWinter Wonderland,ā and we decided to go with āWinter Wonderlandā as the next single just to give you an idea of what it might sound like today in 2025. Weāre happy to say that we finally have our own Christmas album and hopefully it will become a fan favorite year after year.ā
The new album arrives on the heels of Stryperās world tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of its formation and the album āWhen We Were Kings.ā With sold-out performances across the United States, Europe and South America, the tour reaffirmed the groupās status as one of the most enduring and influential forces in Christian rock and heavy metal.
