Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly will return May 2 and 3, 2026, at the Fillmore in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—and for the first time ever, it will be an all-ages event.
Texas crossover thrash band Power Trip will headline Sunday night with its first Philadelphia performance in seven years, while Richmond, Virginia, thrash metal act Municipal Waste will close Saturday night with a celebration of selections from its 2007 album “The Art of Partying.”
“2026 is the year of the shredder!” 3 Floyds Brewing brewmaster Chris Boggess said. “Super stoked to see Municipal Waste, Power Trip and the rest of these maniacs bring the Fillmore to its knees.”
The bill also includes two other special sets: Montréal death metal band Cryptopsy will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its “None So Vile” LP with a set of vintage (and a few new) rippers, while New York hardcore legends Cro-Mags will perform its genre-defining “The Age of Quarrel” album to honor its 40th anniversary.
The lineup bill, presented by BLKIIBLK, is rounded out by freshly reunited progressive psych sludge band Kylesa; Oakland death metal band Necrot; Italian death band Fulci; bicoastal masked mincecore act Haggus; capitol grindcrusher No/Más and Washington, D.C., death/grind band Blood Monolith.
The beer lineup, presented by 3 Floyds Brewing, includes featured breweries WarPigs Brewing, XUL Beer Company, Magnanimous Brewing, New Trail Brewing Co., Nepenthe Brewing Co., Little Cottage Brewery), Bear Cult Brewing Co. and Brimming Horn Meadery. More breweries will be announced soon.
Ticket-holders will be granted exclusive access to the Foundry, the upstairs room at the Fillmore, where they can sample pours from and speak with participating breweries in a comfortable environment while still having access to audio and video feeds from the main hall. “Metal & Beer” tickets are limited to 500 per day.
