BMG in partnership with Rhino Entertainment will release a newly remastered edition of Skid Row’s “40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row” on Nov. 6, 2026, in the United States and Dec. 4 elsewhere on CD and—for the first time ever—translucent blue vinyl. Pre-order it here.
Originally released in 1998, the collection brings together 16 tracks spanning the multi-platinum albums “Skid Row” (1989), “Slave to the Grind” (1991) and “Subhuman Race” (1995).
Alongside the band’s best-known songs, such as “Youth Gone Wild” and “18 and Life,” “40 Seasons” digs deeper into the Skid Row catalog with demos of “Fire in the Hole” and “Frozen;” remixes of “Into Another” and “Breakin’ Down;” and a live version of “Beat Yourself Blind” record at London’s Astoria in 1995.
Formed in New Jersey, Skid Row broke onto the international stage with its self-titled 1989 debut, establishing itself with a combination of huge hooks, street-level attitude and a ferocious live reputation. Two years later, “Slave to the Grind” pushed the band into heavier territory while cementing its place among the era’s defining hard rock acts.
