Swedish metal band Meshuggah will return to North America in 2027 to celebrate its 40th anniversary with an extensive tour featuring special guests Testament and Blood Incantation.
Tickets for the newly announced dates, produced by Live Nation, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, with pre-sales running throughout the week. Tickets are available at Meshuggah.net/tour.
Few bands have altered the vocabulary of heavy music as fundamentally as Meshuggah. Since forming in Umeå, Sweden, in the late 1980s, the band continually has pushed the boundaries of metal, developing a sound built on complex rhythms, dissonance, repetition and physicality that has influenced generations of musicians.
Meshuggah’s influence can he heard across progressive and technical metal, as well as in the work of countless artists inspired by its approach. A 2018 Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal Performance for “Clockworks” recognized the band’s impact, while 2022’s “Immutable” reaffirmed its place at the forefront of modern metal, topping both the U.K. Rock & Metal Albums chart and Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart.
