Liv Sin is the new band led by former Sister Sin vocalist Liv “Sin” Jagrell. The band recently released its folksy cover version of the Danzig song “Devil’s Plaything,” which can be viewed inside!
We met Liv in person and interviewed her on what turned out to be one of the final runs for Sister Sin on the 2015 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. At the time we had no idea that both Sister Sin and the Mayhem Festival would be ending. But what rose from Sister Sin’s ashes proved to be fantastic, with Liv Sin releasing its very metal debut album, “Follow Me” in 2017. The album (that I still listen to today) ended up appearing on My Best Albums of 2017 at #5.
Now to bridge the gap between “Follow Me” and the band’ sophomore album, Liv Sin is set to release a 4-song EP called “Inverted” this Friday, May 25 via Despotz Records. The vinyl-only release, which was produced by Martin Sandvik of Hardcore Superstar at Studio Österlyckan, also includes reworked versions of the songs “Black Souls” and “Killing Ourselves To Live” from “Follow Me,” as well as a bonus track called “Murphy’s Law” that was originally recorded for “Follow Me.” Check out “Devil’s Plaything” below:
“Inverted” track listing:
01. Devil’s Plaything
02. Black Souls
03. Killing Ourselves To Live
04. Murphy’s Law
