Once Human, the band founded by ex-Machine Head guitarist Logan Mader and vocalist Lauren Hart, has debuted the music video for its new song “Deadlock,” featuring Machine Head’s Robb Flynn. The track is from the band’s upcoming third album, “Scar Weaver,” which is set for release on Feb. 11, 2022.
Discussing Flynn’s participation on “Deadlock,” Hart said: “It was absolutely amazing, are you kidding? I didn’t believe it was happening until he sent something back and I heard his voice on our song. I was like, ‘Holy crap! This is real!’ He came back with a new chorus and it was so much better than mine, so my chorus was gone! [Laughs] But then performing with him in the video, that was insane. The energy he brings on stage, he brings in person too. It was a great experience and his energy is so powerful. The video came out amazing!”
“Scar Weaver” will be released on limited colored vinyl, black vinyl, digipak CD and digitally. Pre-save the album digitally here.
Formed in 2014, Once Human released its debut, “The Life I Remember, in 2015 and followed it with “Evolution” in 2017. The band’s lineup also includes longtime Damien Rainaud, drummer Dillon Trollope and second guitarist (and now chief riff-writer) Max Karon.
