Instrumental trio Animals as Leaders has released “Gordian Naught,” the third single from its upcoming album “Parrhesia” (March 25, 2022, Sumerian Records; pre-order here). The song can be found on DSPs here and is accompanied by a visualizer that can be viewed below.
“This song attempts to put a soundtrack to the metaphor of ‘untying an impossibly tangled knot,’” guitarist Tosin Abasi said. “A sonic commentary on the seemingly sustained problems facing the world currently.”
“Parrhesia” is Animals as Leaders’ first album in six years.

Animals as Leaders will hit the the road for the “Parrhesia” U.S. tour, starting March 30 in Denver, Colorado, and ending April 22 in Los Angeles, California. The band will play two sets, one of which will feature the new album in full. Tickets are on sale at animalsasleaders.org.
