The Silver Scream Con, the first-ever Ice Nine Kills-curated horror convention, is set for Aug. 26 to 28, 2022, in the band’s home state of Massachusetts. Movie-lovers, casual fans and INK’s beloved “psychos” will come together with the stars of legendary horror franchises for meet-and-greets, photo ops, cosplay, an Ice Nine Kills concert and more.
“The Silver Scream Con will bring horror fanatics and INK fans from all over the world together to celebrate their love of on-screen slaughter,” INK frontman/mastermind Spencer Charnas said. “This is the chance for our loyal psychos to not only interact with the band, but to meet the stars of the very films that our music pays tribute to.”
Ice Nine Kills’ past two albums, “The Silver Scream” (2018) and “The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood” (2021), have featured songs inspired by classic horror movies.
The convention also will include discussion panels, a horror flea market, a Friday “scary-oke” party and an Ice Nine Kills screen-used memorabilia museum. It will take place at the DoubleTree Boston North Shore in Danvers, Massachusetts.
Scheduled guests include Spencer Charnas, Twiztid, Danielle Harris (“Halloween 4,” “Halloween 5,” Rob Zombie’s “Halloween”), James Jude Courtney (“Halloween” (2018), “Halloween Kills,” “Halloween Ends”), Skeet Ulrich (“Scream,” “The Craft”), Nick Castle (“Halloween”) and Kane Hodder (Jason in multiple “Friday the 13th” films, “Hatchet”).
