Dream Theater releases ‘Answering the Call’ video ahead of Dreamsonic tour

With the inaugural run of its Dreamsonic 2023 tour about to commence, progressive metal band Dream Theater has released an official music video for another song from its 15th studio album “A View from the Top of the World.” “Answering the Call” is the fifth video released and another CGI spectacle created by longtime collaborator Wayne Joyner.

The track has been a fan favorite from the latest album and will make its way into the band’s set list on the Dreamsonic tour.


The 29-city Dreamsonic tour will feature special guests Devin Townsend and Animals as Leaders for a traveling progressive music spectacle. The tour kicks off June 16, in Cedar Park, Texas, and wraps up July 26 in Phoenix, Arizona. Remaining tickets for all dates can be found at  https://dreamsonic.com.

Dream Theater released “A View from the Top of the World” on Oct. 22, 2022, and the release week saw the album top the charts hitting number 1 on the Current Hard Music Charts, number 2 on the Current Rock Albums Charts and number 52 on the Billboard 200. The album also shot to number 1 on the iTunes Store Top Albums Metal chart, number 1 on the Top Rock Albums, reached number 4 on All Genres iTunes Top Albums and hit number 2 on the Amazon Best Sellers in Rock (CD format) only to be topped by The Beatles reissue of “Let It B”e on release day.

Dream Theater took home the Grammy Award in the Best Metal Performance category for the album opener, “The Alien.” “A View from the Top of the World” is available everywhere music is sold and streamed and also is available for order here.
