Des Moines, Iowa-based band Vended has revealed the new single “The Far Side.” Listen/save the song here, and watch the music video below.
“‘The Far Side’ shows another side of Vended that hasn’t been seen before,” the band said. “The focus of this song was pushing our boundaries and abilities to the limit. ‘The Far Side’ represents a new era of the band, a new level of aggression and rawness.
“It was recorded live in the studio, nothing but raw power and pure energy in the room. It fully encapsulates the intensity you would hear in a live setting. Whether you’re seeing us in a club or an arena, the energy you hear live was put directly into this record.”
‘The Far Side’ follows the previous single, “Am I the Only One,” the video for which has racked up over half a million views on YouTube.
Vended’s debut EP, “What Is It/Kill It,” arrived in late 2021. The following touring cycle saw the band open the day’s proceedings at Knotfest Los Angeles, playing alongside Slipknot, Bring Me the Horizon, Killswitch Engage, Fever 333, Code Orange and Cherry Bombs. The band then went on to tour Europe across summer 2022, including a stop at Bloodstock Festival in the U.K., where it shot the live video for “Ded to Me.”
More recently, Vended won Nik Nocturnal’s award for “Breakthrough Band of the Year” in 2023.
Formed in 2018, Vended features Cole Espeland (lead guitar), Griffin Taylor (vocals), Simon Crahan (drums), Jeremiah Pugh (bass) and Connor Grodzicki (rhythm guitar). Griffin Taylor and Simon Crahan are the sons of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, respectively.
Vended will be on tour in the U.K. and Europe in spring 2024.
