Haste the Day returns with new single and video ‘Burn’

Metalcore act Haste the Day has returned with the new single and video “Burn,” its first new music in nearly a decade. The band also appeared at Furnace Fest earlier in October 2024.

“We wrote ‘Burn’ to be a metalcore thrasher with harmonized guitar melodies, an epic chorus, a crushing breakdown riff and lyrics about a broken system of justice focused on retaliation instead of restoration,” vocalist Stephen Keech said. “Being the first song that we’ve released in nine years, we wanted to put our best foot forward musically but also address an important topic in today’s divided world: The more we try to tear others down, the more we destroy ourselves.”

Haste the Day also will play a co-headline show on Dec. 15, 2024, with Oh, Sleeper at The Factory in Dallas, Texas.

Before reuniting in 2023, the band had been on hiatus since 2016. Haste the Day formed in 2001 and has released six album, the most recent of which, “Coward,” came in 2015 via Solid State Records.
