Los Angeles-based metal band Death Dealer Union is entering its next chapter with new vocalist Kay Bellows and a 2026-27 touring scheduling in support of its forthcoming sophomore album, “Dark Sister,” due in spring/early summer 2026.
The band also has shared a cover of Ghost’s “Square Hammer,” the first single from its new album.
“We didn’t want to just cover ‘Square Hammer’… we wanted to take this iconic, inspiring track and make it our own, while introducing our new vocalist, Kay Bellows!” the band said. “Taking the DNA of Ghost and rebuilding it through the lens of Death Dealer Union. Respect the original. Redefine the energy … This is Death Dealer Union’s ‘Square Hammer.'”
Bellows replaces Lena Scissorhands, best known as frontwoman of the Moldovan metal band Infected Rain. Drummer CC McKenna and guitarist Doug Weiand founded Death Dealer Union in 2019. The band released its debut album, “Initiation,” in 2023.
Produced by Max Morton, Death Dealer Union blend modern metal tones with industrial textures, atmospheric layers and dynamic arrangements.
“We want to thank Lena Scissorhands for her time with the band, and we extend our best to Hunter Havokk and Jonny Heinz as they move forward in their endeavors,” the band said. “They will always remain an integral part of the evolution of Death Dealer Union.”
