KK’s Priest, featuring KK Downing and Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, to release debut album on Aug. 20

KK’s Priest, the band featuring former Judas Priest guitarist KK Downing and former vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens, will release its debut album, “Sermons of the Sinner,” on Aug. 20, 2021, via Explorer1 Music Group/EX1 Records. Pre-orders for the album in various configurations, including an exclusive limited edition autographed metal vinyl (silver disc) with bonus CD album, are available via the band’s online store here: https://found.ee/KKsPriest. The album can be pre-saved via all global digital streaming partners, as well.

The album’s first single, “Hellfire Thunderbolt,” also is available now, and the video can be seen below.

“We are delighted to finally be able to release our first track to the world,” Downing said. “It gives a real flavour of the sound and showcases the amazing players I’ve got in this band. We can’t wait for the fans to hear the record.”

Downing was a member of Judas Priest from 1970 to 2011, when he left the band. Owens fronted Priest, following vocalist Rob Halford’s departure, from 1996 to 2003 and recorded two studio albums and two live albums. He was forced out of the band when Halford returned in 2003.

Downing and Owens are joined by Tony Newton (Voodoo Six) on bass, A.J. Mills (Hostile) on guitar and Sean Elg (DeathRiders/Cage) on drums. Original drummer Les Binks sustained a wrist injury and will make special guest live appearances when the band tours.
