Doom metal band Silvertomb—featuring former Type O Negative/Danzig members Kenny Hickey (vocals, guitar) and Johnny Kelly (drums) with Joe James (guitar, ex-Agnostic Front), Hank Hell (bass, Sheer Terror), and Aaron Joos (guitar, keyboards, vocals)—has released the new single and lyric video “Brain Matter/No God.” The song is from the band’s second album, “The Interpretation of Nightmares,” due Nov. 13, 2026, via Steamhammer (pre-order here).
“‘Brain Matter/No God’ was the first song written and opens the record with the heavy, thematic riff that returns in one form or the other throughout the work,” Hickey said. The lyrics describe a nightmare in which the dreamer is shot and experiences his own death inside a dream!”
Silvertomb also has announced a record release party for the album, set for Nov. 14 at the new Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, New York.
“The Interpretation of Nightmares” is Silvertomb’s first album following a seven-year hiatus.
“Just as things were really beginning to take off for Silvertomb,” Hickey said, “our hands were suddenly tied for a number of years due to the pandemic and its long-lasting aftermath. On top of that, I had a drinking problem that urgently needed sorting out.”
